NPTA is proud to announce the launch of The Pharmacy Technician I.M.P.A.C.T. Awards (Inspiring Meaningful Progress And Celebrating Technicians) – an international recognition program honoring pharmacy technicians whose measurable contributions are advancing pharmacy practice across all care settings worldwide.
You’ve improved systems.
You’ve prevented harm no one will ever see.
You’ve strengthened patient care without headlines.
You’ve done the work.
Now the profession gets to see it.
Pharmacy technicians are improving medication safety, expanding patient access, strengthening operational performance, mentoring teams, and driving innovation across the profession.
Their responsibilities have expanded.
Recognition has not.
NPTA’s Pharmacy Technician I.M.P.A.C.T. Awards corrects that imbalance — through independent review, structured scoring criteria, international media visibility, and live global recognition on World Pharmacy Technician Day.

- Innovation or technology advancement
- Advancement of the profession

All nominations will undergo independent review by a committee comprised of nine pharmacy industry leaders, representing both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians (to be announced).
Three finalists will be selected per category by the committee using a structured scoring criteria.
Final category winners will be determined through open peer-voting.
The process has been designed to be transparent and profession-led.
Finalists receive:
- International feature recognition across NPTA digital platforms
