Awards (Inspiring Meaningful Progress And Celebrating Technicians) – an international recognition program honoring pharmacy technicians whose measurable contributions are advancing pharmacy practice across all care settings worldwide.
You’ve improved systems.
You’ve prevented harm no one will ever see.
You’ve strengthened patient care without headlines.
You’ve done the work.
Now the profession gets to see it.
Pharmacy technicians are improving medication safety, expanding patient access, strengthening operational performance, mentoring teams, and driving innovation across the profession.
Their responsibilities have expanded.
Recognition has not.
NPTA’s Pharmacy Technician I.M.P.A.C.T. Awards corrects that imbalance — through independent review, structured scoring criteria, international media visibility, and live global recognition on World Pharmacy Technician Day.

NPTA’s Pharmacy Technician I.M.P.A.C.T. Awards are open to pharmacy technicians practicing worldwide across all care settings, including community, health-system, compounding, education, specialty, and other pharmacy environments.
Nominees must demonstrate measurable contributions that advance pharmacy practice within their role, organization, or community.
Do nominees need to be members of NPTA?
No.
NPTA membership is not required to be nominated or selected.
The awards are open to all eligible pharmacy technicians globally.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes.
Self-nominations are strongly encouraged.
If you have created measurable impact, your work deserves to be considered.
What qualifies as “I.M.P.A.C.T.”?
I.M.P.A.C.T. stands for Inspiring Meaningful Progress And Celebrating Technicians.
Impact must reflect measurable improvement in one or more areas such as:
- Patient outcomes
- Community access
- Medication safety
- Workflow or operational performance
- Training and mentorship
- Innovation or technology advancement
- Advancement of the profession
The impact can be related to your patients, your community, your pharmacy/employer, your co-workers, or the overall profession and industry.
Submissions should clearly describe the measurable results created.
How are finalists and winners selected?
All nominations will undergo independent review by a committee comprised of nine pharmacy industry leaders, representing both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians (to be announced).
Three finalists will be selected per category by the committee using a structured scoring criteria.
Final category winners will be determined through open peer-voting.
The process has been designed to be transparent and profession-led.

Finalists receive:
