Bio

Briana Wukovich, CPhT-Adv, CSPT, is an Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician with over 16 years of experience across community, hospital, oncology, association management, and medication therapy management. She holds certifications in sterile compounding, controlled substance diversion prevention, hazardous drugs, supply chain management, immunization administration, and well-being and resilience. She currently serves as the Professional Development and Continuing Education Coordinator for the Ohio Pharmacists Association and also works contingent as a Certified Pharmacy Technician Support Specialist with OhioHealth. Briana is also a graduate of NPTA’s Pharmacy Leadership and Management Bootcamp, PTCB’s Leadership Institute, and a certified ADHD coach, advocating for neurodiversity within the pharmacy profession.

Her Impact Story

Since joining the Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) as a full-time staff member in January 2024, Briana has been advocating for the inclusion of technicians within the state association.

In the summer of 2024, she put together a proposal pitching the creation of a technician membership category within OPA. She presented it to the board of trustees, and it was approved unanimously. She also began including more continuing education sessions for technicians, adding them to OPA’s Annual Conference in 2025 — a first for the association.

As part of the new Technician membership category, a Technician Membership workgroup formed in April 2025 to identify how to more formally incorporate technicians within the association. Briana led that workgroup alongside Chair Adrean Jones and Co-Chair Brooke Powell. Together, they developed a proposal to add a Technician Executive Member-at-Large to OPA’s Executive Board and four Technician Regional Trustees to OPA’s Board of Trustees, along with a proposal for a Technician of the Year Award. The chair and co-chair presented these proposals to the board in fall 2025.

Briana then worked with association and board leadership to submit bylaws changes, which were voted on in OPA’s House of Delegates in April 2026.

Outside her role with OPA, Briana has also presented ACPE-accredited continuing education sessions on ADHD and Neurodiversity with NPTA, the Pharmacy Technician Educators Council (PTEC), and OPA.
