- Understand and apply the importance of lifestyle modifications, including diet, exercise, and behavioral therapy, along with integrating pharmacotherapy.
- Discuss the various types of weight loss medications.
- Describe each drug class’s mechanisms of action, indications, contraindications, and potential side effects.
- Locate research data and evidence on the efficacy and safety of weight loss medications.
- Understand the goal of fostering a patient-centered approach, which involves considering individual needs, preferences, and overall health goals in weight management.
