Learning Objectives:
At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Explain the different categories of hearing loss: deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-blind
- Identify communication barriers present in the pharmacy setting
- Demonstrate basic ASL signs
- Challenge pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to step outside the norm and intentionally engage with a unique community- the deaf and heard of hearing community.
